Senior Engineer - Aerospace Development C. £30K + excellent benefits Bedfordshire You will provide a development and certification service at all stages of product design from identification of initial opportunity through to successful operation in service, working in both an office and laboratory environment. THE ROLE - You will: - Design and set up mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. - Set up electrical wiring. - Fault find test equipment and test rigs. - Perform Electrical, Mechanical and Life tests using test cells and other tooling and instrumentation. - Design specific tests for specific criteria. - Write Technical documentation. - Be involved in the design process, working with engineers from other disciplines including Design, Stress, Configuration, Materials etc. - Plan workload (MS Project) - Lead (as Work Package Owner) a small team of Engineers, co-ordinating activities and liaising with Project Managers and Lead Engineers. - Perform data analysis of test results, help resolve generator performance issues. - Provide Technical Development and Certification advice - Guide and train other engineers as required. - Design test equipment and fixtures, create marked up drawings of critical functionality for acceptance checks after manufacture. - Raise capital sanctions, procurement specifications, financial and technical justification and acceptance test requirements.
