Based in Mildenhall our client has supplied the International Defence market with over 90,000 vehicle bodies, more than 5,000 tactical shelters in over 200 different configurations, and has designed and manufactured over 9,500 DROPS/PLS Flat racks. Recently expanded to include a new manufacturing facility at Mildenhall in the UK for the production of 6500 vehicle bodies for the new UK MoD Support Vehicle programme. Due to continued growth they are looking for an accountant to join them at their Mildenhall base on a permanent basis. Main tasks to include: •Production of Management accounts for timely submission •Ensuring the best cash position for the company based on Sales Invoicing, credit control, and purchase ledger pay runs. •Ensure that the purchase invoices are dealt with and cleared in a timely manner, ensuring valid, current cost centre cost analysis. •Valid accruals of unposted and new invoices within 3-4 days of month end. •Reconcile relevant control accounts to validate Balance Sheet •Support Finance Manager in preparation of Group Management accounts. •Ensure compliance with statistical reporting. •Identify & address areas within both computer & procedural systems which can be improved upon. •Absence cover to ensure smooth running of Finance. Successful applicants will need to have previous accounting skills and be qualified to either ACA, ACCA or CIMA level along with an in-depth practical knowledge and understanding of accounting.
