Position - Electrical/Avionic Aircraft Design Engineer Location Wiltshire Permanent Salary £ 21,000 to £ 24,500 + Benefits & Relocation A leading international Aerospace company are looking for Design engineers with electrical/Avionics backgrounds. The role is varied and interesting working on a variety of aircraft types and projects. The design of modifications to aircraft electrical and avionic systems Responsibilities Understand the customer requirement, Develop design solutions from established principles Produce wiring diagrams using ELCAD design tool for manufacture/installation/maintenance, Support the design team at aircraft surveys Support the design team at Design Reviews and meetings Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required Ability to quickly absorb training in CAD tools and design techniques, An appreciation of cable harness construction and installation An understanding of electrical system components e.g. types of connector, backshells, cables etc. Development, Working to deadlines, Continuous improvement – adaptive to change Key accountabilities Delivery of design solutions in line with project requirements Maintenance of records in accordance with local procedures (ISO 9100) Team Player, Customer focussed Preferred Qualifications Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or Military equivalent NVQ L3/ONC in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering Similar qualifications and relevant experience will also be considered KDC is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
