Job description
XL Airways Engineering Department has a requirement for an Avionics Airworthiness Engineer to be based at the Company’s Crawley Head Office. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the main function of the role is to assist with the necessary Airworthiness Management functions to maintain the continued airworthiness of the operated and managed fleet aircraft The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in aircraft avionics and be able to demonstrate good overall avionics knowledge of at least one of the following aircraft types:- B737NG, B767 and A330. Preference will be given to candidates holding a JAR 66 B2 license. Roles and Responsibilities: ·Management of tasks related to Continued Airworthiness Management using the resources within the airworthiness team ·Ensure that the Safety and Quality requirements of the airline are maintained to the highest standard ·Manage the approval of modifications and repairs ·Development of the approved Aircraft Maintenance Programmes ·Investigations arising from occurrences arising from ASR’s, MOR’s etc. ·Ensuring that the evaluation and accomplishments of relevant Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and other regulatory requirements are carried out within the specific periods as appropriate ·Development and implementation of processes that improve system reliability ·Development of processes and procedures as required for the technical operation of the aircraft fleet ·Ensuring that effective troubleshooting of defects is carried out ·Management and development of tasks related to QAR data collection for the FDM programme ·Production of AMOS Work Orders as required ·Focal for AWOPS and RVSM technical activities including the development of related processes and procedures ·Management, control and replication of Aircraft On-Board Loadable Software ·FDR readout, engineering analysis and validations Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and be eligible to hold an airside pass.
