This well established greetings company in Chichester seeks a Brand Manager to be responsible for the planning and coordination of a marketing programme and to deliver the long term business objectives. Also to improve the performance of the identified brands and to provide vigorous brand and product leadership throughout the business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To deliver financial results in line with strategic objectives through undertaking the following:
1) Establishing the product's and brand's marketing objectives.
To include:
- Definition of markets, sales channels, market segments, performance and profitability.
- Develop and implement product and marketing plans by brand and by sales channel
2) Planning the product and marketing activities to achieve product's and brands marketing objectives:
To include Product:
- Range Recommendations
- Range management incl. reference to fit with licensing
- Trade pricing and margin management
To include Materials and Activities:
- Drive innovative marketing activities
- Originating brand and product retailer specific presentations.
- Management of all in-store and promotion activity
- Contribution to website content
To include Communications & PR
- Message formulation and execution, inclusive of trade and consumer press, trade/retailer/show presentations, catalogues, newsletters, website content
- Generate and maximise PR opportunities across all brands and channels, both internally and externally (trade press, consumer press, product placements, internal, collaborations
3) Scheduling of marketing activities e.g. type, frequency and timings for promotions
4) Communicating the plan and for creating and maintaining enthusiasm for the plan
5) Establishing an ongoing measurement and review process to monitor progress and effectiveness of brand performance and to specify corrective action when plan and performance are at variance.
6) Management of marketing budget for identified brands
7) Market Knowledge
- Market knowledge consumers, trade, competitors, etc
- Interpretation and recommendations from analysis and research
- To be up to date on competitors products, brands and developments
