Job description
JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager.

SELLING: Filters and strainers.

SELLING TO: Procurement and facilities engineers.

TERRITORY: Internal covering UK based in Redhill.

LOCATION: You must live within commutable distance.

PACKAGE: £30K - £35K basic, profit related team bonus, healthcare, pension and 4 weeks holiday allowance.

- They are a small, closely knit company with a great friendly working environment.





YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING



- All applicants must have knowledge of mechanical engineering based through experience or qualification.

- It is essential that candidates have sold filters, pumps, valves or similar.

- Exposure to petro-chems or the oil and gas industry is required for this position.





IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING



- The ideal candidate will have sold any mechanical component into process plants.

- This company is looking for a candidate that possesses a proven track record of success in both new business and account management.

- Candidates should have a healthy positive outlook on life with drive to move forward and exceed targets.





ROLE INFORMATION



- The successful candidate will be selling bespoke strainers into the oil and gas and petro-chems industry, these strainers will sit before pumps and valves and filter out large lumps of unwanted materials. They are much like large tea-strainers implanted into the industrial market place. This is a 50/50 split between new and existing business however thee is a large focus on winning new business.

- Deal sizes range from £100 to £650K, an average contract is worth £15K and an average one off deal is worth £2K.

- This company has standardised products however they have the capacity to provide bespoke solutions to the client.

- Dependent on the size of the project sales cycles can last up to 6 months. Candidates will need to be able to deal at senior level as he or she will typically sell to procurement and pipeline engineers.
