JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager.

SELLING: Packaging Machinery and services.

SELLING TO: Procurement and Purchasing.

TERRITORY: Office based in Loughborough.

LOCATION: You must live within one hour of the office.

PACKAGE: £30K - £35K basic, OTE negotiable, company car, laptop and pension.

- This company was established in 1975, they have 350 employees.

- This is a family run business with a close friendly team.





YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING



- All applicants must have a great personality and a degree or diploma in engineering.

- It is essential that candidates have experience selling capital equipment.

- Applicants will have strong technical acumen.





IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING



- The ideal candidate will have project management experience and a new business track record.

- Large ticket sales experience would be beneficial for this role.





ROLE INFORMATION



- The successful candidate will be selling packaging machinery, these machines undertake pallet packaging, shrink wrapping and stretch wrapping, they also provide shuttle cars and accessories as well conveying systems.

- The person filling this position will be targeting several main industries including beverages, glass bottling, paper, chemicals, home-appliances and printing. These machines are mainly tailor made so the successful candidate will need to spec up jobs and design into technical managers and engineers, a small machine would cost around £50K and a large turnkey solution can go up to around £2million.

- This role is mainly new business, the person filling this position will retain accounts and there is a lot of repeat business as well as upgrades and add-ons.

- This role comes with a trip to Germany to visit the manufacturing plant and get a feel for the German parent company.
