JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager Storage Solutions Sales SELLING: IT Storage Solutions. SELLING TO: Local Government & Public Sector. TERRITORY: Midlands, London, South East, South West Field Based. LOCATION: St Albans, Hertfordshire, South East, National. PACKAGE: £50K basic, £90K - £100K OTE, £450 per month car allowance. COMPANY INFORMATION - UK company - Privately held - 220 employees - 180% growth last year because of recent legislation revolving around data storage regulations - 40 people in storage services division, 6 in sales - Formed in 1975 YOU MUST HAVE/BE THE FOLLOWING - A proven track record of new business. - Knowledge of storage solutions, for example, having sold storage solutions or touched on storage as part of a wider solutions. IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE/BE THE FOLLOWING - Sent some time with a reseller ROLE INFORMATION - New business sales role; a lot of cold calling selling storage solutions to the public sector and local government, eg education, housing authorities, councils. - Sell hardware software and services. - the Business Development Manager will be selling to 90% public sector as a company with a 60 / 40 split in favour of services. - Sales cycles typically from 3 weeks to 9 months - Deal sizes handled by the Business Development Manager will be between £75K and 500K. - Warm new business - Assistance provided to the Business Development Manager by pre sales and technical consulting team, as well as a small amount of teleappointing. - Target year 1 between £2million and £4million.
