HEALTH & Safety Advisor Location: London Type: Permanent Salary / rate: 35000-37000 Per Annum Start date: ASAP My client is a leading building contractor who require a Health and Safety Advisor / HSE Advisor to be based at their London office. They are currently working on some major construction projects and the HSE Advisor will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Health and Safety Management Policy. This position requires a thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety and fire safety legislation. Must have obtained a formal health and safety qualification with the minimum of the NEBOSH general certificate, or suitably recognised equivalent, and with the potential to advance and a team player who is hardworking and capable of working on their own initiative. To carry out ad-hoc safety inspections within the group operations as necessary, identifying positive and negative findings and assisting in the implementation of such remedial action as may be necessary. To be an active member of the internal auditing process, with regard to compliance of the group ISO certification status, as applicable, or any such audits as may be required. To assist in the development of monitoring, auditing and review of systems and procedures. To assist in the review and updating of Company risk assessments including fire risk assessments. To review Construction Design and Management Plans for shop refurbishments and fit-outs. To develop, arrange and present as applicable, health and safety related information, training and instruction and to ensure that appropriate records of such training are maintained. Such training is to be provided to employees, tenants, contractors and any other persons who may require such information, training and instruction.
