The Job

Hays Sales Recruitment has now been retained to recruit for two experienced National Account Managers to build new business and support the current accounts for the company. The value of each machine can vary between £20,000 and £80,000 so an understanding of capital equipment will be a clear advantage. You will need the flexibility to cover client visits throughout the UK and Ireland. Day to day contact will be made with not only General Managers and Purchasers, but also Production Engineers and Technicians.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales of cutting equipment to Multinationals to SME's business. You will have excellent business development skills, proven within the FMCG market in B2B sales. You will have a proven track record of account management and delivering sales growth. You will have demonstrable skills which include face to face relationship-building and selling, prospecting through developing networks and making unsolicited contact with senior professionals. You will be able to measure customer satisfaction and use this information to the benefit of the business. Your skills will include responsibility to maintain frequent face to face communication and establishing win-win relationships with new and existing customers, ability to conduct technical demonstrations of cutting machines. Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecast information. You will be articulate and persuasive and will demonstrate the ability to establish long term relationships not only with clients but services teams that ensure repeat business.
