Job Title:Plant Engineer No of Vacancies:2 Location Exeter Permanent Salary 30k & benefits A large professional engineering organisation with a worldwide client base are looking for two plant engineers to ensure the best performance and operation of complex plant equipment for manufacturing aerospace quality castings and machined parts. Overall Purpose:To provide technical expertise, data analysis, planning and implementation to improve equipment availability and asset utilization for the site. To develop, implement and follow up sustainable reliability programs, focusing on short -term countermeasures whilst putting in place long-term engineered solutions. Responsibilities: Identify and solve to root cause repetitive reliability problems. Collect and analyse all relevant Overall Equipment Effectiveness data on critical equipment. Use data collected to prioritise work and measure impact. Perform Root Causes Failures Analyses (RCFA). Facilitate Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies. Implement and drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives on critical equipment. Implement predictive and preventative programs. Generate specification and justifications for repair and new equipment. Optimise spare parts inventory. Write maintenance procedures. Requirements: Qualified to a Higher National level or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 3 years' relevant technical experience within an engineering environment. Engineering expertise with a practical understanding of plant and maintenance engineering. Excellent organisational and project management skills. IT literate including word-processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, CAD and an appreciation of business systems e.g. SAP. Ability to prepare and write reports, and to make effective presentations.
