We have a requirement for a Structures/Airframe System Engineers, responsible for Post Design Services within the HIOS Technical Support Group (TSG), but specifically to undertake a minor project to review and develop the engineering documentation processes in use within the TSG. Other PDS duties may include: „XAnswering technical queries from the customer on any aspect of C-130 structures/airframe systems and installed equipment „XAssisting with the preparation of aircraft and system modification specifications and estimates to meet customer requirements „XReviewing Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and emerging legislation for potential application to customer¡¦s aircraft „XLiaising with Company and Design Organisation staff to progress customer requirements „XLiaising with Company technical authors and technical vetting of manuals „XManagement of minor projects The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: „XA sound background of aircraft engineering, preferably with extensive C-130 structures/airframe systems experience „XKnowledge of UK MOD airworthiness, air publications and configuration management procedures, such as Def Stans 05-123,05-57 and 00-970, JAP100 Series, JSP 553 „XGood communication and IT Skills Previous RAF on-aircraft experience and/or employment within an MoD aircraft platform Integrated Project Team (IPT) is desirable The position will be located at Cambridge Airport, nominally for 4-5 months.
