Press & PR Officer x TWO POSTS
My client is currently seeking TWO experienced Press and PR Officers to start immediately within this national public sector organisation.
Role one: Regional Press and PR Officer
Responsible for promoting the organisation on a regional basis through the media, across a range of audiences including service users, members of the general public, stakeholders, employees and suppliers. Reporting into the Senior Press and PR Officer, key duties will include:
- Development and implementation of a communications plan, reviewing and evaluating at regular intervals
- Providing a regional press office service: drafting press releases, articles, dealing with incoming media enquiries, plus a media advice and training and training service for interviews and press conferences
- Developing a portfolio of positive regional stories through internal networking, for distribution to both the regional media and national press office
- Identification of publicity opportunities and organisation of PR events
Role two: National Press and PR Officer
Responsibilities for this role are not dissimilar to the regional role, but it reports into the Senior National Press and PR Officer and the aim is to promote the organisation on a national level. The successful applicant will still be expected to network internally with regional press officers to gather local and regional press releases for distribution to the national media.
