Product Manager - Medical Disposables
A leading manufacturer of Medical Disposables is looking to hire an experienced Product Manager.
Overall purpose of job:
- Ensure that products meet and satisfy changing customer requirements
- Ensure that products meet budgeted sales and profit objectives.
- Provide sales support materials to internal and external customers
- Ensure product availability
- Assist in the development of marketing plans to support sales of products
Scope
The scope of this position includes responsibility for managing the assigned range of products as related to the International markets. General responsibilities include sales analyses, promotion, pricing administration, production planning and forecasting, augmenting and culling the product line, writing business plans, product training, development of sales aids, conducting market research, blocking competition and interfacing with customers.
Principal Accountabilities of the Product Manager
- Continuously analyse the International market and generate ideas for either new products or enhancements to existing products based upon market feedback.
- Support Affiliates and Disposables Specialists with product enquiries, promotional activities and training
- Responsible for the marketing of all assigned products within the International market.
- Participate in the evaluation of new product opportunities and co-ordinate the implementation of projects as assigned.
- Ensure that International market needs are addressed with products developed in the USA.
- Preparation of business plans for existing and new products.
- Organise training on existing and new products for the sales force.
- Generate promotional activities and create sales support materials with the aim of increasing sales.
- Monitor sales and develop promotional programs for products.
- Analyse competitive marketing activities.
- Monitor and analyse market data and carry out other market research activities as required.
- Participate in the design and implementation of clinical trials/studies.
Essential skills and knowledge:
- Solid sales and/or marketing experience.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry
- PC literate
- Knowledge of marketing principles
- Desirable
- Knowledge of the IV market
- Second language

The Product Manager will be office based in Basingstoke, so it is essential that you live within commuting distance, or are happy to relocate to the area.
The Salary offered for the Product Manager will be £28-35K + benefits.
