PRODUCT MANAGER

Our client is a successful organisation within the FMCG food sector. Their recent strong growth has resulted in the need to recruit a Product Manager to join their team.

This key role within the business will involve developing and implementing marketing strategies for our clients products, designed to achieve company profitability and turnover targets and to deliver the product strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage product portfolio, creating and delivering an effective annual marketing plan for the product ranges, including consumer insight, product and range development, above and below the line communication.
  • To be involved in the development of the Channel strategy consistent with the Company's business strategy, and to help champion this internally and externally across all trading channels.
  • To review volume and profitability monthly, and implement tactical measures to ensure business targets are met.
  • To co-ordinate the activities of external agencies and suppliers (i.e. Advertising, PR, Design Agency, Packaging suppliers) alongside the Head of Marketing to ensure that activity is consistent with marketing plans
  • To be involved in the identification and development of consumer and customer insight to develop the strategic direction of the innovation programme.
  • To manage the marketing budget for the role, ensuring that targets are met
  • To support the Head of Marketing in achieving Marketing Team targets.

  

  

Knowledge/Experience:      

  

  • Graduate calibre with strong marketing experience from within a FMCG organization . Food sector experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Confident, open approach with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • An articulate, concise, well organised, focused individual, with strong strategic insight, and a proactive management style.
  • The ability to initiate, champion and motivate cross-functional project teams
  • Well developed planning and presentation skills, and strong commercial awareness.
  • Branded products experience
  • E/NPD experience
