Project AIT Manager required to be responsible for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) function for a project, reporting to both sub project management and the AIT Programmes manager. AIT activities are performed in clean rooms across the world; you will be responsible for budgets of £3M - £10M and a team of 2 – 10 people based at Stevenage. Duties will include- Project Management to ensure that quality, effort, cost, schedule, resources, facilities, risks, issues, requirements & change control, through unit and system integration test to validation, verification and delivery are tied to and described and maintained in the business case and project plan. Managing the AIT element of a sub project from the implementation phases of integration test, through to environmental testRequirements As a minimum all candidates shall have a HNC in an engineering discipline. Proven Leadership role with proven competencies in; Implement quality management, Project start-up & Initiation, Planning and control, Project review/evaluation, Risk management, Lead a multi disciplined project team, Project closure, handover and succession planning, Interpersonal skills. Main Responsibilities An ambassador for AIT interests, working within the defined scope of your project with stakeholders through the business case, then managing change effectively and efficiently.Provide your team with a plan for achieving the overall project goals.Implement the quality plan.Integrated Project Management to ensure that, effort, cost, schedule, resources, facilities, risks, issues, requirements & change control, through unit and system integration test to validation, verification and delivery are tied to and described and maintained in the business case and project plan. Deliver on requirements and customer expectations.You will manage an AIT team defining roles and responsibilities for engineers and technicians with a wide range of skills and specialisations.
