An Aerospace OEM with a successful product and strong order book are looking for project officers to liaise between clients and engineering to ensure best service delivery to set milestones and deliverables. The right candidates will have strong communication skills with good project planning or management experience.
Job Summary:
Perform co-ordinate and control all ‘Front End' customer interfacing and order processing functions including customer liaison, in service availability & contract KPI achievement, spares and repair order processing and status reporting. Role will involve working closely with Commercial, Operations, Business Development, Field Service Representatives and Engineers to ensure that Customer Services provides contracted level of service. Role will also include internal and external project reporting, cost monitoring and control functions.
Key responsibilities:
Operate as a focal point of contact for defined operational customer contracts
Day to day project/service administration, co-ordinating meetings, progress monitoring, contributing to Project reporting
Own and execute all order loading & progressing activities for defined operational customer contracts
Provide good quality on-time responses to RFQ's, Customer status reporting, AOG requests, Freight and shipping issues, formal quotations, warranty adjudication, engineering queries and contract terms using other expertise within the business as appropriate.
Customer liaison, prepare for and attend conference telecoms & overseas customer meetings
Ensure that customer status reports are delivered regularly and prepare performance review metrics as required by the Team Leader
Monitor progress to programme using work breakdown structures
Monitor and control man-hours and costs to project budget
Reporting progress and variances to forecast – Earned value reporting / risk reporting
Building and maintaining project plans in Microsoft Project where applicable
Experience/Characteristics required
Tenacity, set own priorities and work to self imposed deadlines, Persuasive manner and a flexible, positive attitude. Good interpersonal skills, ability to see situations from customer perspective
Willing to travel to overseas customers, Previous customer interfacing & project control experience beneficial
