Quality Improvement Engineer required to co-ordinate and monitor of Quality Control activities within the Aerospace Module to ensure that products comply with defined standards and that customer product specifications are met; the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System to meet Third Party and Customer requirements and the deployment of appropriate Quality Tools and Techniques to drive quality improvement within the Aerospace Module. Responsible for supplier quality issues, internal issues and customer issues.
To help ensure that the company Health and Safety policies are observed and to set a good example with respect to H&S.

Knowledge of welding processes and qualification requirements

MAIN DUTIES
The co-ordination and monitoring of quality control activities relating to Aerospace parts, to ensure that product complies with defined standards and that customer product specifications are met.
To ensure quality activities are operated in compliance with the procedures contained in the Quality Manual and to ensure their effectiveness.
The supervision of Quality Engineering requirements / Quality Control as they relate to Aerospace parts.
The preparation and maintenance of inspection instructions in those areas where inspection instructions do not form part of the general instructions.
To perform Special Process Qualifications and other Product Audits in order to maintain the Quality Management System.
To ensure that the inspection methods and practices implemented are effective.
To ensure the inspection status of material, parts and assemblies is maintained.
Operation of the POQ system for Pall Industrial.
To provide weekly analytical feedback of information on internal and external non-conforming products to the appropriate department(s) and QARAC and to ensure that corrective/preventive action is timely and effective.
To review and authorise release documentation.
To co-ordinate the identification and evaluation of quality problems and to initiate, recommend and provide effective solutions.
To participate in Manufacturing/Design and Project Reviews as appropriate.
Expected to travel both in the UK and abroad and to work unsociable hours as business need determines.
