To provide a combination of in-depth testing experience and control systems operational expertise to support facility interfacing, performance of an detailed reporting on Fluid Rig Test programs. Tasks to be carried out: The jobholder will be required to: Configure and operate FSTF control systems in support of Fluid Test activities as laid down in Facility operating procedures. Liaise with Fuel Rig Lead Engineers on design, preparations and testing. Get involved with arrangements for build & modification of fuel test rigs and associated instrumentation as required. Act as Test Director as required Provide technical support to facility infrastructure and control systems. Produce and/or update Facility Operational Procedure documents as required. Role Description: The job holder will be a member of the Fuel Test Facilities within the Flight and Integration Test Centre. Their direct manager will be the Operations Manager Skills: Experience of operating a system test facility, signal processing experience and test reporting. High computer proficiency, including familiarity with Windows 2000/XP and Microsoft Office environment (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and a willingness to learn new packages. Fully conversant with the use of electronics test equipment, mechanical hand tools, control systems consoles and mechanical integration equipment. Working knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations applicable to explosion hazard areas. A sound understanding of H&S requirements in an industrial environment. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. A positive approach to developing both the role and the FSTF potential for the future. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of aircraft fuel systems Knowledge o fluid mechanical instrumentation installation/integration/calibration techniques Experience in a fluid dynamics, avionics or structural test environment Experience with National Instruments LabView and Diadem software Knowledge of control systems and associated software (LabView/C+) Experience of preparing technical documents.
