We are seeking a Trainee Recruitment Consultant who will initially be responsible for assisting our consultant teams with all aspects of their very busy and successful roles, whilst also adding value in your own right. The role will involve extensive client and candidate telephone contact, pre-screening or general information gathering. Identifying sources to find more candidates and clients, general database content management, a variety of internet research, writing and placing advertisements, relationship building with various contacts, monitoring media for relevant articles and advertisements and keeping your team appraised of potential opportunities that will affect business.

Skills and Experience

We are seeking an individual looking to develop a career in Recruitment and has some work experience in an office environment.  The role will suit someone who enjoys a busy environment and variety.  Ideally you will have experienced some International travel.   

  • Excellent communication - fluent English Language
  • Ambitious - we can provide career progression all the way to Board level
  • Persistence. The role is goals and target driven and therefore there can be disappointments. That's just part of the industry. You need to be able to come back in the next day with a smile on your face and say 'that was unfortunate that happened; what have I learned from it, and what can I do to make myself a better consultant?"  To be able to handle rejection and hang in there for the great things that do happen daily!
  • Drive. To have high personal expectations and push towards exceeding goals and targets.
  • Adaptability.  Ability to speak to clients and candidates at all levels from recently qualified accountants through to Partners and CFO's.   To attend and assist in running conferences.  To work with different systems and processes.
  • Conscientiousness. This is not a 9am to 5pm job, although it can be flexible around your lifestyle and you run your own day.
  • Organisation skills.  After initial induction you will have guidance, training and development on an ongoing basis.  However, you will also be left to work on your own initiative, be resourceful and meet relevant deadlines and goals.
  • Influence. You need to be able to build trust and rapport to be successful in recruitment.
