Job description
A leading financial services company in Bournemouth is looking for a talented Website Content Executive to join their marketing team. The purpose of the role is to ensure that visitors to the website have a positive experience through proactive management of functionality, site structure and content.  The role also takes responsibility for maximising the online sale to site visit ratio and online quote to visit ratio and ensures all Management Information (MI) is accurate for distribution to Directors. Principal Accountabilities: 1.       Manage website re-build planned for 2009.  2.       Identify, recommend and implement improvements to the customer experience by working closely with line managers within the Operations departments. 3.       Understand and manage the impact of the website on other areas of the business.  4.       Ensure the website content is compliant with the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) regulations and guidelines.  5.       To be the company expert on ensuring that the web content meets legislation requirements 6.       Take responsibility for managing significant web projects 8.       Ensure that web site-generated quotes are accurate and compatible with those quotes generated via the call centres. 9.       Manage online-related technical dialogue with the IT departments and external agencies. 10.   Manage Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) agency 11.   Analyse and interpret the user journey statistics in order to improve the customer journey, maximise quote completion and sale to visit ratios.  12.   Manage the entire website content, structure and functionality. 13.   Ensure that all product information is accurate.  14.   Ensure the website content is compatible with the company's brand guidelines and consistent with other brand and company communication, working closely with the brand, acquisition, affinity, HR and production departments. 15.   Provide input into other forms of communication related to digital channels e.g. internet-generated quotes, e-mail, copy for Pay Per Click advertising, copy for 3rd party sites. 16.   Support the Internet Marketing Manager with large and/or complex projects. 17.   Be the company's centre of excellence on online best practice, accessibility, usability, SEO, user journey optimisation and web analytics Essential Competencies: Hands on experience of website content management in a commercial environment. Extensive experience within a marketing environment.  Sound digital marketing know-how in order to be the company's centre of excellence. A drive to be proactive and take a creative approach to develop the website and avoid risk. Excellent literacy as well as precision and attention to detail. Extensive PC skills and IT awareness. Strong communication skills and the ability to: 1) Liaise up to Director Level 2) Manage, direct and negotiate with external agencies Ability to work on own initiative and to work towards effective delivery of company objectives with minimal guidance. Team player, articulate and confident.
