eCommerce Executive Online Content Management Blackburn £28,000 - £31,000 DOE Plus Group Pension Plan, BUPA Healthcare, Free Parking Our client is a global leader in interactive learning and assessment solutions. Its award-winning products enable educators to prepare better lessons more quickly and more easily, improving learners' attention, motivation and learning. They are now looking to recruit an eCommerce Executive to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and managing the day-to-day operation of the eCommerce area of the company's award winning, global community website. As the eCommerce Executive your role will involve ensuring that all the information on their online shop is up-to-date using a CMS. This will include producing effective copy, updating and adding new products and online promotions, and refreshing the landing pages and other areas of the site to drive traffic to the product pages. You will also produce regular shop activity and sales reports. You will also be responsible for working with the Content and Marketing teams to create and develop innovative ideas to promote products and drive sales revenue through effective eCommerce marketing. Another key focus will be to work with the Web team to specify and implement future eCommerce systems, features and functionality to improve customer experience and sales. Additionally, you will liaise with partners to source content and manage the process of publishing partner products to the shop (this may require occasional travel), and you will provide support to the Customer Service team in dealing with shop enquiries. To succeed as the eCommerce Executive you must have experience of both web content management and online marketing. You should also have an understanding of eCommerce systems and infrastructure technical aspects (search engines, content management systems). Additionally, you will need the following: - experience of building websites (usability, accessibility, user experience) - a degree (or equivalent experience) in a related subject, for example IT, Marketing or Media - excellent copywriting skills - knowledge of SEO best practice You will also need the ability to fully understand, interpret and act upon what makes a difference for customers who choose to buy online and make changes to positively affect online revenue generation. Also essential is the ability to adapt and work in a challenging and changeable environment, and effective communication skills.
