Development Engineer/Technician Ongar, Essex Circa £26,000 – Excellent Salary – Depending on Experience Package includes competitive salary, contribution to pension scheme and private medical insurance Our client is a leading global provider of power solutions and they are looking for A Power Supply Development Engineer to test prototype power supplies developed by their Research and Development Department The ideal candidate will either have 1 or 2 years experience in a testing and development area or be a recent graduate with strong evidence of relevant practical projects undertaken during their studies. • Minimum HND/HNC in Electronic Engineering preferably degree qualified. • Hands on practical experience working with Power Supplies on bench. • Knowledge of different switch mode power supply topologies. Key Responsibilities. • Testing prototype switch mode power supplies to specification and working with design engineers to improve performance. • Thermal testing in environmental chamber and EMC testing (electromagnetic compatibility testing). • Test different power components in units, wind transformers and chokes as required.
